Ultimately, the problem is that the proletariat buy into branding, instead of having a clue about what they're purchasing.

Of course, with a Mac, you don't get viruses!

Oh, and of course, Microsoft has completely lost it's market share...

Oh, wait, what actually happened is we got a rabid Apple fanboy foaming at the mouth again, and attacking Microsoft without an references because it's an evil faceless corporation. This attitude was chic 11 years ago... maybe it's you that needs to get your head out of the past.

(MET: You are free to disagree with me but I should point out that other than anti-virus app labs, no one outside those walls has seen a mac virus. I know you find that hard to believe but true for 9 years running. I don't believe at any point I call MS evil - those are your words. My contention is that they have poisoned their own name AND built a market for PC's based solely on price. During the heady years, they reaped that reward but now?)

wow, this is spot-on. I agree wholeheartedly. M$ does not understand consumers, and they never will. All they do is try to copy the best of what's out there, and doing so at only 25% quality and years and years too late.

Good luck M$.
